How I ended up at Kingdom Building Ministries: In my first year of Seminary I had an experience I will never forget. It happened within 4 days. On Monday, I was praying for guidance in a career. I asked the Lord to show me if I should be a pastor, a youth pastor, an evangelist, a missionary, or go to medical school and be a medical missionary. I realize that is a large spectrum of ministry, but I wanted to know. On Tuesday, I was chosen to speak at "testimony chapel". After the chapel service, the President of CIU (Columbia International University) grabbed me by the arm and told me I was an evangelist. Shocking, but I was not convinced yet. On Wednesday, I was driving down the street for a prayer meeting at 6:00 am and the Lord hit me (spiritually speaking). I was overwhelmed with the idea that I was supposed to be an evangelist. The Lord gave me a vision of what He was calling me to do. On Thursday, I received a phone call from a man in Marion named Dwight Robertson. He said that he was given information about me and asked if I would be interested in applying to be an itinerant evangelist on his staff at Kingdom Building Ministries. I dropped the phone!! I asked him who he was again and then we talked for several hours. During our conversation Dwight went through a check list that he had been praying over for a year and a half. He marked off everything on the list during our conversation. Three months later, after several offers, it was crystal clear that I was supposed to be on staff with KBM.
In one sentence, describe your job: My job is to preach with all my heart the Gospel of our salvation and to help the body grow in Christ. In addition, I influence the itinerant communicators at KBM to keep running with the Lord while we advance the Kingdom as a team.
